The Truth in MILF Erotica
I have been asked previously as to why a young woman of my age (20) would write MILF erotica. MILF, which is short for "Mother I'd Like to _____") is a type of erotica with an older female and younger male. If I'm so young, why don't I write about hot couples in their early twenties?
Well, I could do; and maybe I will in the future. I'm thinking about it. I've already decided to maybe do some stories about cheerleaders, coeds, plus some lactation (which is a bit more kinky), as you might have read in the bio that goes with this blog.
Nevertheless, MILF erotica is fun and exciting to read. One of the issues of two very young lovers, maybe only 19 or 20, is the lack of sexual experience. I find it boring to have to set up "first kiss" scenarios, delicate and tender virginal deflowerings, innocent sexual awakenings, and all that jazz. For a short story format, I need to get to the sex fast, so this issue drags out the word count to at least novella size, using up more time, requiring a slower, more literary output, plus is less dynamic and breathless a story. Plus, I lack the patience to write cringeworthy dialogue and deal with heroines who are hesitant and unworldly in the ways of pleasure. I DON'T want to write about women who don't know their own anatomy, haven't had the time to really own their desires, or who end up getting their hearts broken by their own naivety, or who care too much about looking like a "good girl". I want sassy women who are intelligent, confident, know how to use their fingers and are choosy about men. I want strong women who aren't afraid. Yet finding a realistic scenario where a 20-year-old woman already has all this is difficult. It would make more sense to skew her age older.
Another truth is that men peak sexually at 18 and women at 35, so they're both super-horny at those ages, if they meet up. So let's have a story where the reader gets exactly that - lots of the hot stuff, fast. After all, this is erotica, not romance, so what is written on the box ought to be inside.
Also, let's get a little bit feminist here. I don't like the old-fashioned undertones of innocent awakenings and loss of virginity. It presumes female innocence, which in turn suggests the man is "seducing" her in a bad way (i.e. harassment). Young people today need sex education to make decisions they need to stay safe. Knowledge is power. I don't want to add to an already toxic narrative.
So let's break it. Let's accept the reality that women who are a little bit older have valuable life experience, especially in sex, dating and relationships. Further, less experienced, younger men have more stamina for sex and better bodies than guys in their "dad bod" forties, for example. I would rather have things honest, than deal in all these cliches that have been done over hundreds of thousands of times before.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading the book!
