My Third MILF Erotica Short Story
In my last post, I discussed the issues I had writing my novel-length work, "Seducing the Neighbor", and how I hoped that this new story would be the antidote.
Well, here it is - hooray! It's "Seducing the Gardener", a much simpler story, that I hope you will love, that will keep the word count down to a short story-sized level.
This one is set in sleepy Summerville, South Carolina, USA - a Deep South setting but contemporary, full of white picket fences and "respectable" neighbours, lawns and porches - basically, small-town America.
I felt that a story about a thirty-something singleton in a boring job in a small town who seduces her hired gardener after a bad break-up gave me a simple premise, yet with quite a bit of erotic charge.
This is not the first time this has been done. Perhaps the most famous example of the "hunky gardener" trope is in "Lady Chatterley's Lover", by D.H. Lawrence. Ever since it was published in 1928, Mellors the gardener - working class, monosyllabic, brooding, and uncouth - has been the prototype.
I'm not actually a fan of that story, nor of Mellors. Lady Chatterley is listless and doesn't seem to care about cheating on her husband (I can't stand adulterous stories). Mellors is unfriendly, rude, and unsympathetic. Stuff all that.
So can I do a better job than D.H. Lawrence? In terms of literary quality, probably not - but I can at least introduce a female lead with values, and a gardener with a brain. So let's do that.
